The Alabama Wildlife Federation has envisioned an Environmental Education Center situated in a natural setting with access to forest, wetlands, wildlife, ponds, lakes, and gardens that will supply several outstanding needs throughout the State of Alabama, including:
- Single-day environmental education teacher training opportunities in Central Alabama.
- A hub for multi-day environmental education teacher training at other locations across the State.
- Single-day hands-on student learning opportunities focused on nature and natural resources.
- A comprehensive environmental education library.
The Center will feature activities inspired by and developed around for themes: terrestrial wildlife, aquatic wildlife, soils and plants, and also habitats.
